EAST PEORIA - Pekin scored the only goal of the game, but it was inadvertently in its own goal and the Lady Dragons lost for the first time to Peoria Christian 1-0 at EastSide Centre.

"A cross by Jordan Triphan hit off a Pekin defender and into our goal eight minutes into the second half," Pekin coach Edgar Sandoval said. "We had four strong chances toward the end of the game, but just couldn't put the ball in the net. They just wanted it more. We had more chances and better chances but just didn't take good shots."

Pekin (6-9-2) had six shots on goal and five corner kicks.
